How do I set my username and password?

For an individual account, you can use your email ID, which replaces the 8-digit user code.

For a corporate or joint account, the 8-digit user code is provided by our system. It cannot be changed.

When you sign in for the first time, you will be able to define your user ID and password. To do so:

  • Go to nbdb.ca and click Sign in
  • Then click Access the platform followed by Create your secure access
  • Follow the instructions

This first connection must be done through a browser on your mobile device or computer; you will not be able to do this using the direct brokerage app.

Your account number can be found in the welcome email, which is sent to you 24 hours after your account has been opened.

The password must not contain your name, be a minimum of 12 characters, contain both numbers and letters, and include at least one lower-case letter. Case (upper or lower) is important.

After this first sign-in, you can change your password in your Profile and preferences section at any time.
