Why are you asking me my banking information when I open my brokerage account? 

When you open an account, we ask you to connect to your financial institution in order to link your account. If this process is not completed, you can link your banking information yourself by providing National Bank Direct Brokerage a $25 cheque to index the bank account. In any case, you must link your bank account to trade on our online brokerage platform. See the question "How to link my bank account" for more details.
