How do I deposit a cheque into my National Bank Direct Brokerage account?

You must mail your cheque to the order of National Bank Direct Brokerage.

Please make the cheque payable to National Bank Direct Brokerage and indicate the account number to which you wish to deposit it.

Cheque amounts in excess of equity will be frozen for a period of 5 to 8 business days to allow time for the cheque to clear.

If you wish to have the bank account from which the cheque originated added to your NBDB profile for future transactions, you must also indicate "Index account to profile" in the cheque memo. For more information on bank indexing, see "How do I index my bank account from another institution to my National Bank Direct Brokerage account?
