What is the procedure to sign up to the transactional site?

To sign up to the transactional site, all you have to do is click on “Client Login” and “Sign Up”. Then, simply follow the steps on your screen.

How do I sign electronic agreements?

To sign an agreement on the website, just type your full name. This replaces your handwritten signature and has the same legal effect.

Am I considered an investment professional?

You are considered an investment professional if:

  1. You are registered or authorized by these organizations:
      • A provincial securities commission
      • Securities Exchange Commission
      • Commodities Futures Trading Commission
      • Any governmental securities agency, federal or provincial
      • Any exchange
      • Any commodities or futures market
  2. You have been employed as “investment advisor” as defined by a provincial or federal securities act (regardless of your registration or certification status)
  3. You have been employed by a bank or financial institution exempt from registration under the federal and/or provincial securities laws, and would have been required to obtain certification or registration had you occupied the same role at an organization that was not exempt from registration.

What’s the Dow Jones Morning Briefing bulletin and how can I receive it?

The Dow Jones Morning Briefing is a daily publication produced by Dow Jones analysts. It allows you to keep track of the latest news and remain up-to-date on market developments.

You can find it by logging into your brokerage account. Select the Quotes and Markets tab and click on "Dow Jones Morning Briefing". At the bottom of the newsletter, you can also register to receive it on a daily basis by email.

What are the rules to follow when choosing a user code and password?

Your user code is made up of 8 digits. It is generated by our system and cannot be changed.

Your user code cannot contain your name.

Your password must contain both digits and letters, for a total of 8 characters. It must contain both lowercase and uppercase.

What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

If you have a personal account with us, simply click on “Forgot your password” to reset it.

If you do not have a personal account with us, please call 514 866-6755 or 1-800 3-63-3511.

I entered in my access codes but nothing is working; what can I do?

Close your browser and reopen it. If the problem subsists, call 514 866-6755 or 1-800-363-3511, to contact technical support.

I have been receiving the following message for a few days: “We have temporarily suspended our services” or “We are updating the site and it is currently not available”. What should I do?

If you continue to receive this message, you must delete the temporary files and cookies from your browser. If you cannot proceed, please call our technical support team at 514 866-6755 or 1-800-363-3511.

Can I group all of my brokerage accounts under one user code(e.g., joint account, company account and trust account)?

You can add up to 10 roots to the same account access. However, you must first call us at 514 866-6755 or 1-800-363-3511.

I cannot view my other accounts with my user code.

Under the summary section, you will find a drop-down menu that allows you to select the account you wish to view.

How can I create alerts?

You can create alerts from your brokerage account. Simply log in to your account, click on Tools, and then on Alerts.

How do I make sure that my session has been securely closed?

When you end your session, you should see the following message confirming that you have put an end to your session:
